What is Community Supported Agriculture?

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is an association between farmer and CSA member for the mutual benefit of both.  The CSA model allows for small family farms, like Parker Produce, to provide produce directly to the consumer.  By purchasing a CSA share from Parker Produce prior to the growing season, the CSA member receives weekly produce during the growing season (generally from June until the beginning of October).  We offer pickup locations in Bangor, Winterport and Newport.  Our shareholders first choose their share size and submit their payment along with the CSA Agreement Form.

***At Parker Produce, we believe eating healthy, locally grown produce should be affordable for everyone.  By participating in our CSA, you will actually save money.  However, we understand that the initial investment may be difficult in one lump sum.  Payment plans are available on an individual basis with the only stipulation being that the share amount be paid in full by May 1st.  We hope you will contact us about a plan that works. ***

If you believe as we do, that the food we eat should be produced and consumed  locally; that taste and health are more important than size and marketability, contact us about our CSA.  We would love to be your grower!
